Since 1982, Book of Life Academy has been providing quality education for thousands of students. Over the years, we have developed a reputation for providing the very best in Christian education. Book of Life is an approved for preschool students ages 2 - 4 years old, by the Maryland State Department of Education, office of Childcare. Kindergarten - 5th grade is a registered Christian school/facility also recognized by the Maryland State Department of Education.

Curriculum
Abeka Book's systematic phonics program teaches students to read at an early age. Students also receive strong character-building reading selections. For elementary age students, spelling, vocabulary, and poetry help students improve their ability to read, write, think creatively and speak. Penmanship is taught at age 4 with their name, small words and the alphabet. Cursive writing is introduced in grade 1 and improved throughout the other elementary grades. Along with Abeka Book, Book of Life Academy uses the Saxon math program. Supplementing with the Saxon program helps our students stay current while maintaining a traditional math foundation. Saxon is the nation’s most comprehensive and most thoroughly researched home-school/ independent school math program, with more than 30 years of proven success. Saxon mathematics for grades K–12 is based on the teaching principles of incremental development, continual practice and review, and cumulative assessment.
